We hope Via.Delivery will alleviate the problem of stolen packages. The cost is nice for heavier packages and we ship a lot of vinyl and bundles (2-3 pounds) that pushes it into USPS priority ground, that are pretty high. I just picked up the chardonnay juice at the FedEx store. Everything worked out very well. I was able to use the tracking number provided to monitor the shipment. I received an email as well as a text message informing me the pail was ready to be picked up. I just went to the desk at the store and in a couple of minutes I was heading home with a pail of juice. It is a bit warm today, probably warmer on the back of a FedEx truck, and this type of shipping allowed the box to be in an air conditioned store while waiting for me. I did need to provide my drivers license and the last four digits of the tracking number in order to pick up the box. That is good protection to ensure the box is not provided to the wrong person. Also, with this method of shipment there isn't a risk of the box getting stolen by pirates. I would use this method again
